The members of the band have over 55 years of combined experience playing music in the studio and on the road for a long list of artists, including household names. They bring a high degree of professionalism to the show, but they also keep it light-hearted and fun. The Jessica Horn Band was named 2006 Country Band of the year by Bands Across Kansas City, and they've proudly completed recording of their 1st full length CD "Stretch of Road". Call it Red Dirt or Texas Country or Cross Country. Call it what you will. It's new, it's different, and it's good. As well as original tunes, the band is able to perform a wide array of cover material. They have a little something for everyone. Jessica is not the only talented singer in the group, so you can bet you'll hear the guys belt out a few, too. If you are looking for a high energy professional performance, JHB will deliver. Jessica Horn - Lead Vocals & Rhythm Guitar
Jessica started writing songs as soon as she learned to talk. She learned to play the piano and guitar in order to accompany herself and chart her compositions. She charted her first composition at 8 years young and begain professional vocal training at age 13. She listened to every varying genre of music, but considers her biggest influence to be Ann and Nancy Wilson. Jessica joined her first original band in Steamboat Springs, Colorado at seventeen with a conglomeration of local artists having backgrounds in varying genres (country, rock, blues and folk). She was ahead of her time.
Jessica started a family and moved back to her home of Kansas City at age nineteen. She fronted several groups, singing sixties, classic rock, soul, retro, country and alternative hard rock with bands such as the Mystery Machine aka Disco Lemonade, Soulmatic, RetroActive, and more. She is not your average girl, in fact the guys in the band say the only thing "girly" about her is how long it takes her to do her hair. She made the move to country because it's where her song-writing took her. Jessica's latest songs are a catchy and relatable mixture of country, blues, and southern rock. Her first solo demo, released 2006, received excellent reviews and airplay in the states and abroad. Jessica has graced the stages of all of the Midwest's hot spots through the years. She has made several televised appearances, including the National Anthem for the 2006 Busch Series Race at the Kansas Speedway. Jessica is, however, more of a team player, and wanted to continue to play as a band member, not a solo artist. It's working.

Brian Beets - Lead Guitar & Vocals
Brian Scott Beets has been a part of many successful projects. He is recognized everywhere the band plays for his long run with Thunderheart. He has shared stages with many of today's best artists. His knowledge, versatility, presence, vocals and songwriting abilities are more than impressive. The energy he puts into every show is contagious. He has been playing with the Jessica Horn Band since April of 2007. Like music trivia? Ask him anything. Brian is endorsed by Curt Mangan Strings.
Mike Bias - Drums & Comedic Relief
Mike Bias has played drums professionally for 20 years. He was the original drummer for the well-known band Thunderheart. At 28, he worked as a studio player in Nashville and from there formed the group 3rd Degree with Jeff Adams. They were a hard-working road band, sharing the stage with many great players, such as Dueces Wild (Rascal Flatts) and Red Vokart. His next move was to Florida where he joined the Joe Thayer Band, a successful Christian blues band. Originally from the Kansas City area, he moved back home in 2007. He has been the backbone of the Jessica Horn Band with his solid, steady rhythms since October of 2007. If you don't take the opportunity to talk with Mikey between sets or after the show, you're missing out. We'd never say he shouldn't be a drummer, but we might say he should have been a comedian as well. Mikey plays with Ddrums, Sabian cymbals, Vic Firth sticks and CAD drum mics.
Jonathan Tennant - Bass Guitar & Vocals
Jonathan is the youngest member of the Jessica Horn Band. He enjoys chocolate milk, DS, and long walks on a 5-string bass. He's been playing with the band since October of 2007, but his presence and ability on stage would indicate years of experience. Jonathan aspires to be a studio musician when he is done with his education, but for now is enjoying his time on the road with JHB.
